Although Kamp-Lintfort is formed by an over 100 year long history of coal mining, of which the old miner’s houses are still evidence of, it is still an attractive city with respect to Niederrhein landscape. A big part of the city area is to say filled by the woods Leucht and of course the beautiful park of the even more attractive sight Kloster Kamp. Moreover because of the beautiful terraces and gardens of Kloster Kamp, Kamp-Lintfort has applied for hosting the Landesgartenschau 2020 (horticultural show).
